Pumpkin variety belonging to the “Gusto Italiano” project. Native to the Reggio Emilia area, it is known as “Cappello del prete” (Priest’s Hat) or “Turban” pumpkin because of its distinctive shape, which resembles the hats worn by priests in the early 1900s. The plant is vigorous, covers large areas, and is highly hardy and resilient. It produces an average of 6–8 compact fruits per plant, each weighing around 1.5 kg. The grey-blue rind encloses firm flesh with low moisture content.
