POMO PERO 2025
On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October 2025, Lusiana (On the Asiago plateau in the province of Vicenza) hosted the 26th edition of “Pomo Pero”, the historic market exhibition dedicated to the promotion of ancient varieties of apples and pears from the Plateau, together with the flavors, traditions, and culture of the local area.
The event offered a rich program of activities for all ages: markets of typical products, food stands, exhibitions, workshops, shows, excursions, and musical performances, transforming the town into a lively celebration of biodiversity and rural life.

The festival had been preceded by a weekend of preparatory events. On Saturday 27 September, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the public took part in the harvesting of ancient apples at the catalog field in the Bose area, contributing to the production of the traditional juice made from local apple varieties.
The following day, Sunday 28 September, in Piazza Divisione Acqui, there was a live apple pressing: an educational and sensory experience that allowed visitors to observe up close the transformation process from fruit to a natural, genuine nectar.
The weekend of 11–12 October marked the culmination of months of preparation: more than 100 varieties of local apples and pears were displayed, while the streets of Lusiana came alive with producers, artisans, and agricultural enthusiasts. There were also opportunities for in-depth talks and walks among centuries-old trees, discovering the authentic landscape of the Plateau.

Among the exhibitors, we at Smarties.bio were also present, taking part in the event by showcasing our organic seeds and explaining the values that guide our company. Our stand became a meeting point for experts and curious visitors, offering the chance to learn more about the Smarties.bio philosophy and to engage with those who promote sustainable and mindful nutrition every day.
The entire event was organized by the Opfel on Pira Association, with the complete program available on the official website: www.pomopero.bio.
