1. Purchase Procedure
To make a purchase, it is necessary to carefully follow the online procedure available on the website.
Once the products have been added to the cart, the customer must:
- check the contents of the order;
- enter shipping and billing details;
- choose the desired payment method;
- confirm the order;
- complete, if required, the payment authentication procedure.
The order is considered correctly submitted only after the final confirmation of the procedure.
2. Reasons for refusal, cancellation or modification of the order
Smarties.bio reserves the right to refuse, cancel or not process an order in the following cases:
• incomplete or unverifiable personal data;
• previous non-payments;
• suspected fraud or unauthorized use of payment instruments;
• unavailability of the ordered products.
Notification of any refusal or cancellation may be communicated via e-mail or phone, even not immediately after the order submission.
3. Prices
All prices indicated on the website include taxes and VAT, unless otherwise specified.
4. Payment Security
All transactions are processed through secure systems, in order to guarantee maximum protection of personal and payment data.
Card payments may be subject to authorization checks by our system and the customer’s banking institution.
5. Accepted Payment Methods
- Bank transfer:
Payment can be made via bank transfer.
After placing the order, you will receive an e-mail with the bank details to complete the transfer.

The order will be processed after receipt of payment.
- Cash on delivery (only for Italian customers):
It is possible to choose payment upon delivery by selecting the Cash on Delivery option during the purchase procedure.
With this method, the amount due is paid directly to the courier at the time of delivery, without making any advance online payment.
Cash on delivery involves an additional cost of €6.10, which will be added to the total order amount and must be paid at the time of delivery.
- Credit or debit card:
Payment can be made by credit card or debit card.
The following card networks are accepted:
- VISA
- MASTERCARD
- AMEX
Also accepted:
- POSTEPAY
- rechargeable cards operating on the VISA ELECTRON network
- Online payments
- PayPal:
PayPal is a secure online payment method that allows you to complete the order by accessing your account directly.
PayPal account and linked card details are managed directly by PayPal. At the end of the transaction, you will receive confirmation of the successful payment from PayPal.
- Google Pay:
Google Pay allows you to make payments quickly and easily using the cards saved in your Google account.
The service protects personal and card data throughout the entire payment process.
- Apple Pay:
Apple Pay allows you to pay online quickly and securely using compatible Apple devices.
6. PSD2 Security and 3D Secure
For some card payments, the bank may require additional authentication via the 3D Secure system, in compliance with PSD2 regulations.
Depending on the banking institution, identity confirmation may take place via:
- SMS;
- e-mail;
- PIN;
- fingerprint;
- biometric recognition via banking app.
We recommend checking with your bank that the contact details associated with your card are up to date, in order to complete authentication correctly.
7. Why a payment may fail
The payment may not be accepted for the following reasons:
a) Credit or debit card payment
• the card has reached the limit set for online purchases;
• the entered details are incorrect;
• the payment session has expired;
• the bank has blocked the transaction for security reasons.
b) Payment via PayPal or other online payment methods
• the account balance is insufficient;
• the cards linked to the account are expired or not updated;
• the online payment account is not verified;
• the payment session has expired.
In these cases, it is possible to check the status of your account directly in the app or contact the support service of the online payment method for further information.
