Luigi Divari was born in Venice, where he lives and works. His youthful passion for the sea, for boats, especially Adriatic ones, and for Venetian-lagoon traditions has been strengthened over time, above all by personally experiencing the things he writes about in his books, by practicing the places and people of his narrative, and by grasping whatever is most authentic that remains of the old traditions.
