Baby Leaf Lettuce seeds
Lattughino (cut lettuce) is the lettuce variety specifically cultivated for baby leaf production for IV gamma (ready-to-eat, fresh-cut produce). It is distinguished from head lettuce by its shorter cycle, more tender leaf, and ease of use.
Smarties.bio offers Albaverde, Albarossa, Albabionda and Baby Romaine.
It completes the Spring Mix Baby Leaf Lettuce range, a mix composed of our four lattughini, in harmonious proportions for colour balance.
Seeds are available in organic and/or conventional versions, depending on the variety. Specific availability is indicated for each product. All our seeds are rigorously tested and guaranteed free from LMV and other pathogens.

LATTUGHINO: GREEN, RED AND BLONDE
The production of lattughino baby leaf is based on the combination of three fundamental colours: green (Albaverde), red (Albarossa) and blonde (Albabionda). The balance between these shades determines the visual appearance of the final mix and improves its commercial positioning.
VARIETAL CHARACTERISTICS
Smarties.bio lattughino varieties are selected for: short cycle (25–35 days), tolerance to heat stress, tender leaf with good post-harvest shelf life, and high yield per square metre. These characteristics make them ideal both for open-field cultivation and for trays and vertical farming.
ORGANIC AND CONVENTIONAL
The seeds are available in organic and/or conventional versions, depending on the variety. Specific availability is indicated for each product. Each batch of Smarties.bio pelleted seeds is accompanied by a technical sheet with germination, purity, and harvest year data. Traceability is guaranteed throughout the entire supply chain, from production to delivery.
All our seeds are strictly controlled and guaranteed free from LMV and other pathogens.
